What Makes PVV Tours So Special?
We pickup at a time that is convenient to you: We pickup from your resort, and if you are running late, no problem! We won’t be going without you, and you don’t need to rush yourself.
We help you decide on the attractions to visit: There is so much to choose from, when it comes to picking the most interesting sites or attractions. So we tailor make a tour just for you, looking at the things YOU find most interesting first. Get the most bang for your buck.
Be flexible with your day out: Most tours will take time to stop somewhere for lunch. We can discuss what you like, and suggest cafes or restaurants that are most suitable. No point in stopping at an Indian curry house if nobody in the group likes hot and spicey!
Spend longer at an attraction if you want to: On a regular tour, especially one that takes in multiple attractions, each one gets an allotted time. But what if you are REALLY enjoying somewhere, and want to stay longer? Or want to leave earlier? Then we can do that, there is complete flexibility.
Small groups means your guide can get to know you better: A good guide can make or break a tour. Our knowledgeable and friendly tour guides just love to show visitors their country, and by the end of the day, a new acquaintance will have become a new friend.
Day Trips: Exploring Viti Levu
Day trips range from 5hrs (The explore Nadi trip) to 8hrs or more for the trips further afield. All excursions are tailored for your own personal tastes. So we will give you a list of choices and you can “mix and match” these to fit in the sights that most appeal to you. That’s the beauty of tailor-made day trips… more of what you want, less of what you don’t!
Your guide for the day will be a local, born and bred in the area, so he will be able to make changes and recommendations on the fly for you. You just can’t get that level of service and attention when you go on a pre-arranged excursion. Your time is limited, and valuable, so let’s make the most of it!

Full Day Trip To Navala Village. From fj$350 For Two People
About Navala Village
This is the last village on Viti levu that holds onto their age old traditions. Nowhere else are you going to see Fijian people living this way… the way their fathers did, and their fathers before them. The population is somewhere around the 1000 mark. It doesn’t look that big at first glance, but some of the homes can have up to a dozen family members living in them.
In recent years, they have had power running to the village, which has enabled a few of the modern luxuries we take for granted back home. Things like a fridge or washing machine. However, the village holds onto it’s heritage with pride, and many of the things done here are done the old way. Harnessed oxen used to haul timber for bures for example, and villagers working collectively to build them.
The Bures: These are still built the traditional way, much the same as they were 200 years ago (although with the addition of a chainsaw to cut the larger logs!). The bures are constructed of timber, bamboo, woven walls and sedge grass thatching. Perhaps the most important part of the construction is the central pillar, made from a hardwood tree called the “vesi”.
In Navula, there is a shortage of trees in the immediate area, partly due to the ravages of Cyclone Winston in 2016. This means timber is sourced from further up in the hills, and is dragged by a team of oxen (AKA, a Fiji tractor) back to the village. In some spots, the logs have to be floated down the river. Once back at the village, it is dried and peeled before use.
The School: There are 170 pupils at the school, some from Navula, and other that attend from outlying areas and stay in the hostel at the school. The kids are bright, bubbly and eager to learn, so if you want to share stories of your home, they love to listen. Like most schools in Fiji, funds are in short supply, so if you visit, perhaps consider either making a small donation or bring a few school supplies. Pencils, exercise or text books etc.
Your day starts early, as it’s several hours to Navala from Nadi (actual time depends on road and weather conditions). Your first stop will be at the market in Ba, where you can purchase a “sevu sevu”… this is a gift of Kava which is presented to the village chief on arrival. This will cost around fj$20.
On arrival, you will be welcomed into the village by the chief and elders. This includes a traditional Kava ceremony. Once the formalities are over, you and your guide for the day will explore the village and meet some of the residents. This might include a visit to the local school. If you want to bring any school supplies, they will always be gratefully received!
The school caters for children aged 6yrs to 14yrs. After that age, they attend secondary school, the closest being in the town of Ba. This is a 1.5hr trip by local bus each way, and some choose to travel in and out each day. Other will stay at a hostel in town to attend school, returning home on weekends and holidays.

Full Day Trip To The Coral Coast.
From fj$395 For Two People or 2 Adults and 2 Children under 12 years.
ABOUT Coral Coast
One of the most popular tours is the Full Day Coral Coast Tour. Most of the resorts on the Coral Coast are situated on the beachfront, featuring some of the most popular worldwide hotel brands such as Shangri La, Outrigger Warwick, and many more.
Fiji’s Coral Coast begins 15 kilometers south of Nadi Town and features stunning scenery of sugarcane fields, pine trees, and breathtaking vistas of the South Pacific Ocean. The coastland consists of coves, beaches, rocky outcrops, and mangrove forests, with steep slopes rising rapidly to the adjacent mountain ranges.
Where we take in the sights of the Coral Coast.
Lawai Pottery Village:
Visit this Town to witness the incredible ceramic display and to learn more about Fiji’s pottery history.
Sigatoka Town + Lookout:
Wander through the market to witness the broad range of tropical fruits, root crops such as yagona roots (kava) and spices, freshwater mussels, fish, and so on. Also, visit the Town’s small but unique businesses.
Kula Eco Park:
It is worth a visit to witness the spectacular reptiles, birdlife, amphibians, tropical fish, Fiji flying fox insects, butterflies, and a wide range of plants and bushes.
Sand Dunes:

Full Day Trip To Suva.
From fj$450 For Two People or 2 Adults and 2 Children under 12 years.
Suva: capital of Fiji, and a whole different world to the “burning west” of Nadi. We can explore sights like the Presidential Palace, the magnificent Grand Pacific Hotel (perhaps have morning tea there), and visit the Suva museum.
If you feel like stretching the legs, we can go to Coli-i-Suva (pronounced tholo ee Suva) rainforest, lots of walking tracks in the forest, with streams and swimming holes.
If you’re a history buff, why not request to visit the WW2 gun emplacements? The remains are on a hill overlooking Suva harbour. A magnificent place to take some memorable photographs.
It’s a fair drive to Suva (approx 3hrs from Nadi) so you might like to break the journey on the way back and call into Sigatoka Sand Dunes. There is so much to do, so much to see, we can’t possibly fit it all into one day. But we will help you pick and choose the sights and attractions that are going to align with your particular interests. Get plenty of sleep the night before, as it’s going to be a long day and you will be tired at the end of it.
